Whoever said "Iceberg!" on the last page gets a Close enough: lots and lots of ice.

Being firebenders, couldn't they, in theory, melt their way through it? If the ship can push through the ice can't be that thick, and they could at least soften it to make an either path...
The first panel is really impressive. The elliptical holes in the ice add alot of depth. The ship too! Those things are beasts when it comes to perspective.
